Around the world, enlightened people from our communities, governments and businesses are asking: How can we really work together… moving beyond the rhetoric, dropping our personal agendas and going for the common good? How do we activate new measurements of progress? How do we enrich the lives of our communities, local businesses, youth and elders? How can we access the leadership and creativity in our communities? |
To meet the enormous challenge of impacts such as Climate Change, diminishing fossil fuel reserves and globalisation, we need to re-structure our communities to be self-reliant in terms of food, energy, products, commerce, transport, tourism, health, housing and education.
Globally and locally, we are seeing a return to community, and the role of business and government as catalysts for positive change. The renaissance of the village and call to re-localise presents an opportunity for communities to build secure foundations for future generations, whilst enjoying all the benefits of thriving local economies, culture and meaningful places.
This is the fundamental premise of Village Well's work.
