Community Engagement Strategies, Consultation & Workshops
Village Well works with the premise that the wisdom lies within the community, waiting to be untapped. Community Engagement is a complex art requiring highly skilled facilitation. At Village Well, we develop customised engagement strategies that take into account diverse stakeholders. We initially map the political landscape of the area to get an understanding of the underlying issues and opportunities. We then create detailed consultation scripts that deliver win/ win outcomes. Our work has supported the delivery of Structure Plans, Coastal Management Plans, Mainstreet Business Plans, and local place branding and marketing. Experienced facilitators work with focus groups, public surveys and open forums to work through issues and develop positive strategies.
Community Capacity Building
Village Well details maps of the community’s capacities, strengths and weaknesses. This allows the community to develop robust and resilient strategies that have wide support and ownership.
Culture Change Strategies
Village Well recognises that a transformative culture can speed the uptake of sustainable practices. We have developed unique training that utilises powerful processes that catalyse change from small interventions to large organisational culture change.
Retail Masterplanning
Taking the point of view of the community Village Well works with developers and place managers to map out a retail strategy that best reflects both the needs and aspirations of the shopping community. We take inspiration from leading edge Retail, to create Retail villages with strong ‘destination’ value.
Inspiration Evenings
Inspiration evenings bring the whole community together be both inspired and challenged, and to take positive action. We utilise exciting visuals and best practice case studies that educate and inspire.
Structure Plan / LEP Consultation
The development of a structure plan provides local government with the opportunity to reflect community concerns and desires. Village Well works with councils and planning companies to engage with the community to reveal their interests and hot spots.
