Context

For over a decade, Monash University has engaged Village Well to transform the retail and place experience across its Clayton and Caulfield campuses. We have provided expertise in retail visioning, strategy, activation, and engagement, consistently aligning with Monash’s vision of creating a campus experience which reflects its academic excellence and a focus on creating inclusive, vibrant, and community-focused spaces.


Our 2014–2016 work on retail positioning and activation transformed the campus experience. In 2024, we were re-engaged to provide strategic advice on the new Clayton Masterplan.

Result

Over 10 years and 7 projects, our work has delivered a consistent, strategic approach through Place Understanding, Transformative Engagement, Place Visioning and Place Strategy & Activation. We have pioneered transforming the retail activations and campus experience at both Clayton and Caulfield.
